Requirements and Compliance
The RAIM PRO product performs predictions for all currently known receiver types in commercial aviation. This includes receivers compliant with TSO-C129, TSO-C196 and TSO-C145/146. The system is Future Ready. For Multi-Constellation Receivers and Advanced Horizontal RAIM. The RAIM solution performs predictions in compliance with the all currently available navigation specifications. Terrain screening is performed as required for RNP AR predictions. Predictions are performed in compliance with the FAA ADS-B 2020 specification AC90-114A. As other Worldwide surveillance requirements are developed the system will ensure all requirements are complied with.

API and System Integration
The RAIM PRO products supports real time integration with third party systems such as flight planning and flight following systems. Modern RESTful APIs as well as a Queue based integration are available for system developers to develop integrated solutions. The APIs are load and stress tested and deliver outstanding performance. The following integration options are possible:
  • API to request a location RAIM prediction for any airport with specific RNP levels (departure, destination, destination alternates,…)
  • API to request a trajectory RAIM prediction for any trajectory of a flight (main, alternates,…)
  • API to request an area RAIM prediction for any location/area of the world (can be utilized to overlay RAIM outage areas on a map)
  • API to request a trajectory ADS-B prediction for a flight
Web-Based User Interface
A full suite of web tools to allow the user to perform RAIM predictions:
  • Manual ad-hoc operations including ad-hoc location predictions or route predictions
  • ICAO flightplan copy/paste

Terrain Screening for RNP-AR
For RNP-AR approach procedures not only the satellite constellation needs to be considered to predict the achievable GNSS accuracy, but also the potential obstruction of satellites by the surrounding terrain.

SPACEKEYS dynamic terrain screening engine analyzes the surrounding terrain for every RNP-AR request to ensure compliance with this requirement. The main advantage is that any new RNP-AR approach at any airport globally can be RAIM checked right away.
ADS-B
Predictions for all ADS-B mandates Worldwide that require them are provided, including the US FAA Mandate AC-90 114A. Route and Area predictions can be performed.
Architecture and Support
The system architecture has been created using latest technologies with the main focus on stability, scalability and performance. Each component is resilient and deployed over multiple physical locations. Deployment in a commercial cloud provider’s infrastructure (AWS, Azure,…) is supported out of the box.

Support with automatic ticketing and phone support is provided 24/7.

RAIM ANSP

ANSPs often require specialised versions of the RAIM predictions. The RAIM ANSP product provides for delivery of a customised version of the RAIM PRO with the following options:

  • Personalised branding of the product to match the ANSPs own branding style.
  • Tuning of the product functionality with the addition or deletion of certain functions/tools to match the requirements of the ANSP.
  • Limiting the scope (location based) and volume of the predictions.

A-RAIM TEST BED

Traditional RAIM is not future proof. It is designed for a single constellation and is not capable of reacting to signal improvements over time, Example: selective availability still assumed ‘active’ in many receivers.

Advanced RAIM:
  • Designed for multiple constellations.
  • Capable of reacting to signal improvements over time.
  • Receiver can update signal models using datalink or database (so in real-time, or off-line).
  • Reminder: still under active development.
  • No stable operational requirements.
  • No stable prediction requirements.
A-RAIM is developed within the GPS-Galileo Working Group C (under a U.S.-EU Agreement).
SPACEKEYS has developed an A-RAIM Test Bed, for any customer to use in the development and testing of an A-RAIM solution, by modifying the RAIM PRO system as follows:
  • Implemented the latest stable Working Group C published Airborne algorithm.
  • Added infrastructure to allow for Galileo
  • Galileo Almanac
  • Galileo Processing
  • System Architecture modifications have been made to import scenarios and produce output mapping and reports using the RAIM PRO interfaces.
